Bronte College is an international private school with an International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The educational institution has created all the necessary conditions for every student to fully unleash their talents and achieve outstanding academic results. One of the important aspects of learning and upbringing is the individual growth of each student, as well as the presence of responsiveness, inclusiveness and respect in the Bronte team. Special attention is paid to supporting international students in their preparation for university admission. All students participate in a variety of extracurricular trips and activities, play on school sports teams, and study Advanced Placement (AP) subjects. The school's campus is located in the heart of Mississauga, which is consistently ranked among the safest cities in Canada. From here you can get to downtown Toronto in just half an hour.

Bronte College follows the provincial curriculum Ontario, also providing additional advanced International Baccalaureate (IB) programs and Advanced Placement (AP). As an international IB school, Bronte College supports a collaborative learning model focused on a research approach rather than memorizing facts in the classroom. Meeting the standards of the Ontario Ministry of Education, all Bronte graduates receive an Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSD) and can choose to receive the IB Diploma Program (DP) in grades 11 and 12 or Advanced Placement (AP) in Grade 12. Upon admission to the university, students have the opportunity to count part of the subjects studied by completing programs of increased complexity.

 

Students participating in the IB DP program study 6 subjects in 11th grade and 8 subjects in 12th grade. After successfully completing and passing the exams for the IB DP or AP programs, students can count some of the subjects they have studied towards admission to the university..

 

Conditions for graduation

30 items of them:

18 required subjects
For example: English, Mathematics, Sciences, History, Geography, Art, Physical Education, Civil Law, Foreign Language.

12 items to choose from
Students can choose from a large number of subjects listed in the academic calendar.

 

How to apply

Bronte College has three starting dates: in September, February and July (summer school). The fall semester begins in September and ends in January, while the winter semester begins in February and ends in June. If students are interested in summer studies, they can start in July and finish in August.

To apply, you must provide a copy of the first page of the student's passport, an extract of grades for the last three years of study, and proof of payment of the application fee (300CAD).

After receiving the application, the admissions committee will review the submitted documents. Upon student enrollment, Bronte College will issue a Conditional Enrollment (CLOA) indicating the program and its cost.

After making the tuition payment, the school will issue the final letter of enrollment and payment confirmation. The student can then begin the process of obtaining a study permit.

International students are required to provide a consent form for placement under guardianship. This form must be completed and signed by the student's parents or legal representatives. A fee of 300 CAD is charged for notarization of the guardianship declaration.

School grades and proof of payment for reviewing the application must be sent to your agent. If necessary, students take entrance tests in English, mathematics and natural sciences..
 

Residence accommodation

Bronte College offers safe and comfortable rooms for more than 350 students. Approximately 83% of the rooms are single rooms, and the rest are divided into double and quadruple rooms. The residence, which is open during holidays and school holidays, accommodates students from all over the world, creating unique living conditions.

The Student Residence Support Program is mandatory for those who are under the age of 17 and live in the residence. Participation in the program involves attending supervised classes from Monday to Thursday from 19:00 to 21:00. Students can also take part in most of the weekend trips mentioned above at no additional cost.

 

Family accommodation

In addition to residence, Bronte College offers the opportunity to stay with a family for students in grades 9-12, allowing them to live with Canadian hosts. The host families are located near the campus and are a great option for students who want to adapt to Canadian life. We try to take into account the preferences of students when placing them with families to ensure a comfortable and rich experience. All host families undergo a comprehensive screening process, including referral reviews, face-to-face interviews, home visits, and police identification checks.
