Located in the suburbs of Lausanne, and accepts children from 11 to 18 years old to attend boarding school. It is worth mentioning that Lausanne is included in the UNESCO list of protected world sites – it is a beautiful green, picturesque, peaceful area with clean mountain air and breathtaking panoramic views. Hundreds of tourists come to Lausanne every year to enjoy the beautiful scenery and ecological recreation, but this opportunity is always available to school students. 

Champite Private School has its own extensive territory of 40,000 square meters. The delightful wooded area near the famous Lake Geneva is only 3 minutes on foot. And the journey to Geneva airport will not take more than 45 minutes.

 

Champittet College, a private school, was opened  in 1903. Today, the school has  a well-deserved reputation as one of the best Swiss schools. The educational institution is accredited by the European Council of International Schools, the Association of Schools and Colleges of New England, active membership in the Association of Private Schools in Switzerland (l'Association vaudoise des ecoles privees - AVDEP) and the local canton of Vaud (Vaud) (Federation suisse des ecoles privees - FSEP). The private school is very popular among local students (40% Swiss), as well as foreigners from all over the world - students from more than 50 countries study at the school. Students can study in English or French, depending on the chosen program (the International Baccalaureate is taught in English with learning a second language (most students choose French as a second language), the Swiss diploma is taught in French and English and knowledge of a third language is also required - German or Italian, French diploma is taught in French with learning English. There is also a special intensive French learning program, and students achieve a B1 or B2 level in a year.

 

The boarding school can accommodate a maximum of 80 students. Students live in rooms for 1 or 2 people. On each floor there is a cozy living room where students can spend time together, play or watch a movie. Laundry services and three meals a day are included in the price. School staff live with students on each floor and children are never left unattended. After the end of the lessons, students choose to attend additional clubs (sports, music, drawing, and so on) and also do their homework in groups where they are always helped by teachers. An entertainment program has been prepared for children on weekends (it varies depending on the season - when it's warm, there are a lot of activities on the lake, and in winter children like to ski and snowboard), as well as children go on excursions to other cities in Switzerland and abroad.

 

Every summer, the school holds a summer camp (from the end of June to the middle of July), which focuses on improving leadership skills, as well as English. The students of the summer camp live in the residence of the school. In addition to classes, students actively spend time exploring Switzerland, including visits to Geneva, the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, as well as the chocolate and cheese Museum, go to the mountains, play sports and have fun on the lake. A balanced distribution of study and rest allows you to achieve excellent results without overwork. Students live in rooms for 1 or 2 people. On each floor there is a cozy living room where students can spend time together, play or watch a movie. Laundry services and three meals a day are included in this program.
